The YASHODA AI (AI & Women) Programme provided the participating students with a comprehensive understanding of Artificial Intelligence through a combination of awareness, expert interaction and practical learning. The programme was conducted on 05th October 2026 at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, with Mr. Rajendra Talak as the Chief Guest. A total of 10 students from the Computer Engineering and Electronics & Computer Science (ECS) departments attended the programme along with the faculty coordinator, Prof. Janhavi Shet Tilve.

The programme began with an introductory session on “Understanding AI in Daily Life,” which familiarized students with the role of AI in everyday activities and commonly used technologies. This was followed by a session on “Opportunities and Use of AI,” which highlighted the growing applications of AI and the opportunities it offers in education, employment, entrepreneurship and various professional domains. The session on “Digital Safety & AI Risks” created awareness about cybersecurity, responsible use of AI, online safety, privacy and potential risks associated with emerging AI technologies. The programme concluded with a hands-on practice session, where students gained practical exposure to AI tools and their applications.

Overall, the programme enhanced the students’ awareness, digital literacy and practical understanding of Artificial Intelligence. The sessions enabled them to relate AI concepts with real- life applications, recognize emerging career and entrepreneurial opportunities, and understand the importance of cybersecurity and responsible technology usage. The hands-on component further encouraged students to explore AI tools independently and apply them in academic and professional contexts. The participation of 10 students from Computer Engineering and ECS, accompanied by Prof. Janhavi Shet Tilve, made the programme a valuable learning experience and encouraged the students to further develop their skills in AI and emerging technologies.
