Report of Orientation for Parents of FE Students

An orientation programme was conducted for the parents of the newly inducted students of First Year Engineering on 8th July 2017.
Rev. Fr. Kinley D’Cruz, Director, welcomed the parents and gave a brief history of Don Bosco and the Salesian Society. He also informed the parents on how the students should conduct themeselves at Don Bosco College of Engineering,Fatorda, in terms of dress code,wearing identity card , academic performance and discipline.
Dr. Neena Panandikar, Principal, gave a presentation highlighting the various activities taking place at Don Bosco College of Engineering.
Dr. Kala Nayak, Registrar, then gave information about the syllabus, examination system and scholarships.
This was followed by a presentation by Prof. Harison Cota, HOD, Science & Humanities Department, Prof. Ajit Salunke, HOD, Mechanical Engineering Department, Prof. Annapurna Sakhardande, HOD, Civil Engineering Department, Prof. Michelle Viegas, HOD, ETC Engineering Department and Prof. Gaurang Patkar, HOD, Computer Engineering Department. In their presentations the heads highlighted the various undertakings and achievements of their respective department.
Ms. Grebian Alemao, Counselor, proposed the vote of thanks. The orientation was conducted by Prof. Roseline Fernandes.
The parents were then taken around the campus by the faculty from different departments.
About 200 parents attended the orientation programme.
