TEACHER’S DAY

The Teacher’s Day was celebrated at Don Bosco College of Engineering on 5th September, 2017, with much enthusiasm and joy. The Director- Rev. Fr. Kinley D’Cruz , Rector Rev Fr. Paul D’Sousa, Principal – Dr. Neena S. P. Panandikar, Registra Dr. Kala Nayak and the Heads of Departments together, cut a cake, which was then distributed to all the staff members present on the occasion.
The function began with a musical medley presented by the computer department led by Prof. Gaurang Patkar on the mouth organ, Prof. Sia and Prof. Sweta on the vocals along with Student Zinho on the guitar . A band from T.E Computers left everyone in awe with their music, which was then followed by the college band consisting of Kohen Duarte , Gaurav Dessai-BE. Civil and Saptak Banerjee-S.E. ETC. Mellisa Fernandes enthralled the audience with her melodious voice. The T.E computer boys gave a electrifying dance performance. Gaurav Dessai-BE. Civil and Saptak Banerjee-S.E. ETC also performed their original composition which they performed on the “Dusty Road Room’ uploaded on YouTube.
Two very interesting games were held for the staff which was conducted by Kai Da Costa from B. E. Computers, in which the staff members had to circle a dot on the board blindfolded and another game of trying to balance and catch as many pencils .The staff members exuberated much enthusiasm during the event.
The comperes also announced and gave away spot prizes during the function.
Rev. Fr. Kinley D’Cruz, Rev Fr. Paul D’Sousa, Principal Dr. Neena S. P. Panandikar and Registra Dr. Kala Nayak distributed mementos to each staff member as a token of love and appreciation which was then followed by a staff picture.
Our director, Rev. Fr. Kinley D’Cruz spoke on the occasion, encouraging the staff members and appreciating their efforts towards the institute. He also gave a nice power point presentation on teachers.
Rev.Fr. Paul D’Souza addressed the gathering and encouraged the staff members to work together towards the vision of the institute and also expressed his eagerness to work with the staff members in achieving future endeavors.
Dr. Neena S. P. Panandikar also spoke on the occasion and assured the management of the timely effort and enthusiasm that the staff members will continue to put in.
Prof. Avila Naik thanked the organizers and the students for all the effort in making the celebration a joyous and exciting experience.
