Analysis Paralysis: Case Study Competition for TE E-Cell Students

The Entrepreneurship Cell of Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE), Fatorda, organised “Analysis Paralysis,” a case study competition for Third Year E-Cell students on 26 September 2026 in the BE Computer Classroom.

The event aimed to enhance the students’ business acumen, analytical thinking and practical decision-making skills by challenging them to analyse a market situation or organisation and present their understanding within a limited timeframe.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from 17 teams, with two students in each team. Prof. Sachin Turi and Prof. Aniket Naik served as the judges for the event.

As part of the competition format, the case study topics were shared with the participants a day before the event, on 25 September at 9:00 a.m. Teams were required to analyse the given topic and submit their presentations through a Google Form by 10:00 p.m. the same day.

On the day of the competition, each team was given a strict five-minute slot, comprising three minutes for presentation followed by two minutes for questions and answers. The presentations were structured around key aspects including the context and background, customer challenge, proposed solution, benefits, results and future scope.

The competition provided students with an opportunity to apply their classroom knowledge to practical business situations while developing skills in research, problem analysis, presentation and effective communication. The time-bound format further encouraged participants to identify key information, formulate appropriate solutions and communicate their ideas concisely.

The event served as an engaging platform for E-Cell students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and strengthen their ability to analyse real-world business challenges. The event was well coordinated by Mr. rajas Sawant & Mr. Reuel Luis.
