The Technology Bell Curve:
Students were introduced to the lifecycle of technological adoption. Technologies in our field typically follow a bell curve: initial emergence leads to a surge in demand, followed by a plateau and eventual decline as the technology becomes ubiquitous. It was emphasized that during these drops, human engineering skills become critical once again to innovate and build the next technological breakthrough.
