Career Catalyst 1.0 – Bridging Campus & Career

The Training & Placement Cell of Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda-Goa, organized “Career Catalyst 1.0 – Bridging Campus and Career” on 18th August 2026 for the students of Third Year Computer Engineering. The session aimed to provide students with industry exposure and insights into career opportunities and workplace expectations.

The resource person was Mr. Caesar D’Silva, Product Support Engineer at Zscaler, Bengaluru, and alumnus of the Computer Engineering Batch of 2019. Mr. Caesar shared valuable insights into the practical aspects of working in a corporate environment. He discussed several emerging and career-oriented areas, including network engineering, cybersecurity, cloud-based servers, and data security. He explained how leading organizations store and manage their data on servers and emphasized the importance of protecting sensitive information from cyber threats. He also elaborated on his role and responsibilities at Zscaler, giving students a better understanding of how cybersecurity and cloud technologies are implemented in real-world corporate settings. The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating and raising questions about career opportunities, technical skills, workplace expectations, and the changing requirements of the IT industry.

The programme was coordinated by Ms. Avila Naik and Dr. Norman Dias, Training & Placement Officer. The initiative aligned with SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
