Report on Industrial Field Visit to Eurostampa Goa and IFB Industries, Verna

As part of the FE Orientation program and students’ academic exposure and industrial learning, a field visit was organized to Eurostampa Goa and IFB Industries, Verna, Goa. The visit provided students with an opportunity to observe real-world industrial operations and understand how concepts learned in the classroom are applied in manufacturing environments.

Visit to Eurostampa, Verna, Goa

Eurostampa is a global company specializing in the design and production of premium labels and packaging solutions, particularly for industries such as wine, spirits, food, and other consumer products. The Goa facility is involved in the production and finishing of high-quality printed labels using modern printing and packaging technologies.

During the visit, students were taken through the production floor and various stages of the label manufacturing process. They observed the operation of industrial printing machinery, finishing processes, quality inspection, and packaging. The visit helped students understand how raw materials are transformed into finished products through a systematic and quality-controlled production process.

Visit to IFB Industries, Verna, Goa

The students also visited the IFB manufacturing facility at Verna, which is involved in the manufacturing of home appliances, including washing machines and air conditioners. IFB is known for its range of consumer appliances and its focus on technology, manufacturing, and product innovation.

At the facility, students had the opportunity to observe the production lines for washing machines and air conditioners. They witnessed different stages of assembly, component integration, testing, quality inspection, and final product preparation. The visit provided a practical understanding of how large-scale manufacturing is organized and how different processes and teams work together to produce a finished appliance.

The industrial visit gave students valuable exposure to real-world manufacturing environments, automated and semi-automated production processes, quality control, assembly lines, and industrial workflow management. It also helped them appreciate the importance of precision, teamwork, safety, technology, and quality standards in industrial production.

Overall, the visit was an enriching learning experience that helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical industrial applications. The following faculties accompanied the students on this field trip, Asst. Prof. Christina Barretto, Asst. Prof. Sweta Morajkar, Asst. Prof. Floyd Fernandes and Asst. Prof. Kevin Pereira.
