First Year Mechanical Engineering Students of DBCE visit Eurostampa India Ltd.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Science & Humanities jointly organized an educational industry visit for the First-Year Mechanical Engineering students (Batch 2026-27) to Eurostampa India Pvt. Ltd., Verna on 12 August 2026. As a part of Student Induction Program (SIP), the visit was arranged with the aim of giving students firsthand exposure to industrial processes and manufacturing operations relevant to their academic curriculum.

Eurostampa is the leading manufacturer of premium quality labels for the wine, spirits, chocolate, food and cosmetics industries. With seven plants established worldwide, the Goa facility is the most recent addition. The fully operational Verna plant has begun producing premium labels for the global market.

The visit began with an introductory presentation on Eurostampa, highlighting its product portfolio and global market presence. Students were then guided through various sections of the printing facility, including the Label Printing Bay, Maintenance Unit, Warehouse, Tool Section, and Quality Department. Throughout the tour, they interacted with plant personnel and gained valuable insights into label printing processes as well as the quality assurance protocols adopted by the company.

The students were accompanied by Mr. Sachin Turi and Mr. Tanay Rege from the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The visit was coordinated by Dr. Avil D’Sa from the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Mr. Harison Cota from the Department of Science & Humanities.
