The Department of Civil Engineering, Don Bosco College of Engineering, organized the B.E.
and M.E. Civil Farewell 2026 on 4th June 2026 to bid a warm farewell to the final-year students.
The programme provided an opportunity for students, faculty members, and the college
administration to celebrate the achievements of the graduating batch and wish them success in
their future endeavours. The programme commenced at 3:00 p.m. with a Welcome Address by
Ms.Priya Vales, a Third-Year Civil Engineering student, who warmly welcomed the gathering
and highlighted the contributions of the graduating batch to the department.This was followed by
addresses from . Asst. Prof. Jeffrey Valadares encouraged the students to uphold professional
ethics and continue striving for excellence in their careers. Dr. Shwetha Prasanna, Head of the
Civil Engineering Department, congratulated the graduating students on their achievements and
motivated them to embrace lifelong learning. Dr. Neena S. P. Panandikar, Principal, extended her
best wishes and emphasized the importance of leadership, innovation, and social responsibility.
Rev. Fr. Ralin De Souza, Rector, concluded the series of addresses with words of encouragement
and blessings for the graduates. The programme continued with a Student Memories and
Experience session, where final-year students shared memorable moments, experiences, and
gratitude towards the faculty and the institution. This was followed by the Memento Distribution,
during which tokens of appreciation were presented to the outgoing students. A special highlight
of the event was the presentation of the Best Outgoing Student Award, recognizing outstanding
academic performance, leadership, and overall contribution to the department. Best outgoing
student was awarded to Ms Sadiya Shaikh. The audience also enjoyed the "Walking Down
Memory Lane" presentation, showcasing photographs and memorable moments from the
students' journey at Don Bosco College of Engineering.
The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Rajesh Lamani, a Third-
Year Civil Engineering student, who expressed sincere appreciation to the management,
principal, director, rector, faculty members, organizers, and students for making the event
memorable.The formal programme was followed by a Group Photograph, Cake Cutting
Ceremony, and Refreshments, providing an opportunity for students and faculty to interact
informally. The celebrations concluded with student activities and entertainment programmes,
creating a joyful and nostalgic atmosphere. The farewell programme served as a fitting tribute to
the graduating Civil Engineering students. It strengthened the bond between students and faculty
while celebrating the accomplishments and cherished memories of the outgoing batch. Everyone
wished the graduates success, happiness, and fulfilment in their professional and personal lives.
