The Civil Engineering Department of Don Bosco College of Engineering conducted a practical session on EQuest for II year Civil Engineering students. The session was delivered by Architect Mrinal Sathe, faculty from Goa College of Architecture. The students gained knowledge on Energy Modeling & Simulation which combines building geometry, regional weather data, HVAC systems, and schedules to predict how much energy a building will consumem, design wizards, the software features schematic and design development wizards that guide users through building design steps, from a simple single-zone box to complex multi-story structures, Energy Efficiency Measures (EEM) which includes a dedicated EEM wizard that allows users to compare different designs (e.g., varying window types, insulation layers, or HVAC systems) to see exactly how each option affects overall energy use and operating costs.
