A session on SAP2000 was organized for the Final Year B.E. students to introduce them to structural analysis and design software commonly used in the engineering industry.
The session commenced with an introductory presentation by Asst. Prof. Genevieve Fernandes, who provided an overview of the SAP2000 interface, explaining the various tools, features, and commands available in the software. This was followed by a hands-on training session conducted by Asst. Prof. Kaushik Pai Fondekar and Asst. Prof. Genevieve Fernandes. During the practical session, students were guided through the process of using SAP2000 for structural modeling and analysis, enabling them to gain practical exposure to the software.
A total of three students attended the session. The program was informative and insightful, enhancing the participants’ understanding of SAP2000 and its applications in civil engineering practice.
